Dr Who - The Age of Aquarius - Scene 6

He starts running to the corner office, then slows to a walk, then stops.

This guy won’t know anything, how could he. He’s just been the vehicle for someone, something else. Probably didn’t even know it was happening, and now can’t work out why it happened, and why to him. Poor bugger.

Still, have to ask, can’t be left wondering.

“Right, let’s do it.” With that the doctor is off, running again.

He reaches the office, the one in the corner, and pokes his head around the corner. The Doctor thinks about bellowing something, like all good editors apparently do. But, it’s probably not the time for that.

“Go way.”

“What?”, apparently to no one, however, the Doctor knows he is talking to Dave, Dave Harris, or Madam Astral.

“C’mon Dave, I'm here to help.”

“I don’t want to talk to anyone, not a soul.”

“Not me, not me Dave, you want to talk to me, I'm here to help. Let me introduce myself, I’m the Doctor.”

“The Doctor.” Pause. “I never thought I would see you again, kind of hoped I hadn’t seen you the first time.”

Doctor “Do we know each other? Come out and let me see you.”

The Doctor watches with greater interest, he hadn’t expected this. He didn’t remember anyone called Dave Harris, still ……

Dave comes out from under the desk “It is you, but, I don’t know, I would have thought you’d have aged a little, it was 30 odd years ago.”

Doctor "We met 30 years ago, here?” The Doctor thought about this, knowing, that in reality, at least in Doctor reality, it could have been anytime.”

“No not here, at University. I had no idea what I wanted to do, and some how we met, you suggested I work here, and for some reason I went along with it. I still can’t work out why, it just seemed right. I sought of liked the work, well I did, until now, then this. I could have done something else, but the desire to stay was stronger than the one to leave. Odd, isn’t it.”

Doctor “Yeh, it is odd.” The doctor still had no idea what Dave was on about, that meant he had two problems to deal with. Onto the biggest one first.

“Dave, tell me about the horoscope you wrote.”
